Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah.

Judul postingan ini adalah curahan hati, tiap kali hati gw ada di pertigaan jalan tersebut. Pernahkah kawan surawan melintasi pertigaan tersebut ?

Keinginan kadang kerasa menggebu ketika kita melihat sesuatu yang dimiliki orang lain, dan kita ingin untuk mendapatkan sesuatu tersebut, untuk motif2 nikmat yang berkembang di sekitar pikiran kita.

Namun begitu, kadang kita juga acuh terhadap keinginan2 itu, karena kita lebih suka ngerjain apa yang kita sukain.

Terlepas dari itu semua, apakah yang kita lakukan sudah benar ? apakah ini trek yg kita idam2kan buat hidup?

Apa dengan memporsir diri untuk sekedar keinginan, biar sama kayak orang lain, biar dihargai kayak orang lain, kita ngejalanin apa yg bener bagi hidup?

Apa dg terus menerus melakukan hal2 yang kita senangi, tanpa melakukan apa yg kita wajibi, masalah hidup beres ?

Hal terbenar di hidup, adalah ngejalanin kewajiban.

Implementing Good Leadership in Organization

Leadership role and responsibility in implementing change in organization

  1. Organizational culture is the primary source of resistance to change a leader should understand the organization culture and then plan the change process.
  2. The use of value based management model 0f 7-s model can be helpful in implementation of change by coordinating 7-s namely, shared value, strategy, structure, system, staff, style and skill. (MC Kinsey’s 7-s framework)
  3. Leadership should determine clear decision making framework to ensure the organization has means and resources to achieve its goals.
  4. Analyzing the change process through a experimental project  with the five factors such as project duration, the project teams performance ,integrity of management commitment, employee commitment and employee effort required to cope with the change that are essential to be implemented.
  5. Change can be implemented through organizational transformation by ensuring succession planning initiatives are closely aligned to leadership and development and organizational vision
  6. Ensuring that succession planning process occurs in such a way that it is in itself a transforming experience.

Drawbacks of implementation of changes in the organization.

Some the reasons why change initiatives fail to achieve their objectives are:

  1. Absence of clear definition of what actually constitute organizational success
  2. Lack of knowledge about changing situation in business environment.
  3. Lack of integration between succession planning and leadership with organizational vision.
  4. Toxic leadership performance.
  5. Lack of planning premises and constraints, inadequacy of resources and means to implement the planned change process.

Toxic leadership and organization

Toxic /Bad leadership is one of the main reason we can point out for the failure to         implementation of change in the organization. “A Toxic leader is someone who has responsibility over organizations employees but abuses the leader –follower relationship by leaving the organization in a worse condition than when he/she first found them”. (Barbara Kellerman)

Barbara Kellerman analyzes Toxic/bad leadership into seven different types:

(1)Incompetent (2) Rigid (3) Intemperate (4) Callous (5) Corrupt (6) Insular (7) Evil.

Toxic leadership can effect organization in change implementation by following way:

  1. Lack of definition of vision, strategy and business plan.
  2. Inappropriate execution of the vision, plan strategy and business plan.
  3. Lack of team building skills and business ethics.
  4. Lack of sponsoring, supporting, measuring results.
  5. Destruction of organizational culture, values and employees trust and confidence.

Plane is expensive right ? so where’s your plane ? have you made or build it ?

why it’s so important to have a plane right now ? because plane that i talked is a plane of joy. have you got one ?

i don’t have idea where you can buy it because many people made it by themself.

plane need thrust. plane need wing. plane need destination to go. plane need pilot, a bold pilot that have clear goals for his flight.

enjoy your amazing flight with doing great things. don’t waste your precious time. for the eternal life in heaven

Stop Thinking Too Much, Start Act Now

sometime we thinking too much about something. its normal. but, some of people do that in every moment in their life. they thinking too much about what they want to do, what they want to speak, what they want to write..

finally, they become worries about anything, and it consume so much of their time. they become more unproductive that the others. they know about so many knowledge to start many works or carrier. they have many brilliant ideas. but, because of their habit, they never bring those things into reality.

this is very destructive habit. overcome it, is a MUST. because if we don’t overcome it, we will lost so many opportunities in our life.

Here’s some tips to overcome it ( from wikihow.com ) :

  1. Know when thinking becomes thinking too much
  2. meditate
  3. Put your thoughts down on paper
  4. Act
  5. Live in the moment

Emotional Control for Safety Motorcycle Riding

This day, on the afternoon, I fall from my motorcycle, in front of 20 senior high school. I f all because i brake too hard in high speed velocity. I almost hit public transport car that cross in front of me. My motorcycle and me, fall and stop right beside the public transport car. I was very shocking, and scream loud, cuz my foot collide with the road, and i just wear sandals. Its hurt.

Right after my fall, 2 polices, students and people around there run to me and bring me to the high school to treat my wound. I got wound on the tip of my foot fingers, the guard of the high school treat my wound with alcohol. Woooow, i scream. The public transport driver, buy me bandage, and the polices record me and the driver on the paper.

This is the chronology. I suddenly runt my motorcycle fast because i saw the public transport car that would cross in front of me, run slowly, so i lost my patient to wait it cross first. I assumed that I will be the first who cross the cross road. But the fact said the other, the car suddenly run fast, when i almost cross the cross section of the road. So i brake very hard to avoid collision with it. And the road is little sandy. So i fall on it. Almost fall to car’s bottom.

This incident really gives me lessons. First, we should control our emotion, when we run our motorcycle, especially when we run it with high speed. Be patient to wait, and make sure the road is safe. Even when you late to go to your job or your important event. Because life’s worth is meaningful, can’t be replaced by anything.

Second, be positive. Always think positively when you drive motorcycle, and focus to the road.

Third, always use complete motorcycle costume. A licensed helmet, jacket, long pants, gloves and shoes. I wore the 4 of them, it really protect my skin in my fall. But i forgot to wear shoes. The thing that my father always said to me.

When that incident happened, my wife text me, ask how’s there ? i want to said about my condition. But I don’t have any pulse in my cellphone. And I didn’t want she know about that. hehehe. So I tell her in my blog here :D

Awake

it was too bad that i drowned very deep in my own lake of disappointment.
two weeks ago, my research supervisor (RS) told me something shocking: i better drive my research to another way.
i did not cry a lot after that, since i knew that his idea was the best choice to take.

but i took some time to get it all. i ran: leaving research methodology book that i must read since my
RS is the writer and putting aside Pinter’s, Cameron’s, and Paul’s book.
then i went out to Jakarta for family business. then i got flu. then i still escaped from the reality.

the laziness gave in last week. i tried to come with a new topic research: thematic instruction.
brand new idea. innovation. something that my RS and I (finally) expected.
i went to the school in which implemented the system. they refused. they’ll be busy this term, so
they cannot welcome collegians to do research.
thank u, i said, resentfully (i spoke to myself, of course).
how pathetic to see fear of an arrogant institution whose system potentially being adopted.
yeah. up tu yu, i said slowly to them.
i hate this since they did not even invite me to discuss about my research.
furthermore, i felt there was no correlation between the reason for refusing me and my research plan.
gotcha! arrogance never generates genuine success- just see.

i strolled slowly- glancing at one etalase to another, as if in a mall- to seek for any kind of new topic for my research.
then i got happy since i found these two words: hortatory exposition and critical thinking.
subject of the research: my own students at my PLP place.

wish i cud be more lucky this time by finding right issue ^_^

nb: i started to read the research methodology again, yippie….
